I know you say you don't delete accounts on request and that you purge empty accounts that haven't been used, but considering I've just logged into an account that hasn't been active in 5 years while on a purge of old unused accounts for privacy and security reasons, that obviously isn't all that accurate.

Under Article 17 of the GDPR, I have the right to request the erasure of personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or if I withdraw consent. My account no longer serves a legitimate purpose, and I would like all personal data related to my account to be permanently deleted from the website.

For me this is a security issue, I don't want any unused accounts lying around using this email address, and I thought this one would have been deleted by now since it hasn't been accessed since 2020-ish.

You can change your email address to a fake one, and scramble your password, in the edit profile section:

Remove all personal data from there, and then logout, and the account is no longer connected to you by any personal info.
