Default The Sims Movie
I guess this deserves a new thread: The First Trailer.

The answer to "which Sims game did they choose?" might surprise you, but remember: EA knows best.

The "trailer" is fake. I found the following in the description of the YT channel you linked to...

'Teaser Tube' is the home of scintillating and extravagant 'Concept/Fan-Made' trailers from various cinematic universes like Marvel, DC, Star Wars and many more!

Don't believe anything unless it comes from Maxis / EA directly.

EDIT: There are plenty of things Maxis and EA say that should be questioned. In this particular case, wait for something official to be posted. There will be lots of fake trailers...

Well, it is a nice little satire, a satirical fake if you want. I am sure more will follow; at some point, a genuine one will finally appear and then we will be able to discuss which one was the most amusing.

Even though that particular trailer is fake, this could still be a good thread to discuss the movie in general though.

My thoughts are, even without seeing an official trailer, that a Sims movie is completely stupid and unneeded... unless somehow it turned to be a horror movie. Though that might happen even if they try to make it family-friendly.

It would work if a comedic satire movie about Pleasantview/Strangetown/Veronaville lore, that was good as the TS2 itself, than a tv series or show could be enticing to what. But we know how crappy netflix adaptations and the consideration to based off just TS4 going ons would make it quite a disappointment and lost opportunity to make it better.

P.S. That trailer is clearly made with AI animation clips and some clips from barbie movie.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Too bad John Astin is retired. He portrayed Gomez Addams very well and would make a great Mortimer Goth, seeing as Morty himself is based off Gomez Addams.

I think the Barbie film served the topic really well, with love and from a fan perspective but also laughing together about the limitations. If a sims film could hit that note it could be a real success.

I read somewhere that Margot Robbie's production company is working on the movie. I guess that is why they put clips from the Barbie movie in the trailer in the original post. There were rumors that she will be working on it, but she is also currently pregnant. She might just voice a character though.

Oh man--- a 'reality show' following the Goth Family would be very cool for a movie!
