Default Sim Fashion
There are many fashion styles to dress our Sims according to their personalities or what we envision how they will dress, so what have you come up with?

I wanted to challenge myself to create Spring related outfits as a collection. In order to attempt to keep everything matching so it looks like it belongs together as a set, I decided to primarily use one floral pattern but also ended up incorporating a second pattern which is stripes. I plan on working on this more and want to create a collection for other age groups and males as well.

This is how I originally dressed my teen Sim but something about it still wasn't the look I was going for.

Then I kept redesigning her style without anything in particular in mind because I kept going from goth, to emo, to punk, to edgy, but I eventually came across a look that started to remind me of a movie character and then the style clicked. So I think this is called Dark Academia or so that's the vibe I get from it. So that's her style now, though it may change when she gets older I don't know.

I really liked his outfit as a kid and ended up doing a similar outfit for him as a teen. I wish that the developers would have also had that green dinosaur hat for kids also be available for teens and adults too. Regardless, his style is Kidcore.

Some of these are based on outfits I've seen online and got inspired to re-create my version of it in the game.

I haven't seen the Barbie movie yet but I likely will eventually.

I tried a Ken-inspired look too, lol. I need to figure out who will be my male models, though it doesn't look bad on him. Just not the style I envision for him.

I have a collection of MAC inspired lipsticks and finishes for my Sims but this is mainly about getting the most out the 3 base game lipsticks I'll be using. Now while TS3 lipsticks are basic and excludes effects such as shimmer/glitter, iridescence, frost/metallic, patterns, etc, at least with some creativity some can be made possible. Though I wish all the makeup options had the feature to use patterns because at least then I could create my own glitter or animal prints or whatever my imagination could think of that would be already in-game. So let's make the best out of what is available.

When I create new Sims, I like to use some of these hair color blends from the midpoint of two of the preset hair colors, or use it for dyed hair, etc. Vivian's original hair color is Lt Chestnut Brown and is based on previous hair colors I found on the internet.

And since I use her as one of my models, it's not uncommon for me to dye her hair and/or give her pretend colored eye contacts.

If I didn't miss any or create any duplicates, there are 26 28 blends I created based on the preset hair colors in-game. I can also use these colors as an extra option for a born in-game Sim that comes out with a mutated hair color when each parent has two different preset hair colors besides picking one of the parents or grandparents hair color. Or even if the parents have two different custom hair colors, I could still blend the two using https://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend/#:::hex or https://www.colorhexa.com/

*Yeah, I don't have Brown + Red and I wonder if there are any other color combinations I'm missing, lol.

Edit: I was missing 2 which were Brown + Red and Lt Orange + Lt Blonde. I think that's all the blends.

Edit 2: I'll update with the codes, and the .packages is a quick and easy method for me since I tend to refresh my user presets, thus losing it all intentionally for better CAS performance.

Edit 3: There is a mod that automatically blends hair colors in-game if interested: https://simlogical.com/ContentUploa...e/uploads/1779/
I have enough issues with invisible incompatibilities so I am trying to limit my mods.

Edit 4: Added old screenshots of the hair colors found online.

I used only base game for this outfit and it turned out nicely.

For this outfit I started out going for base game only but it just didn't work out. Sometimes to get the look I want it has to go beyond base game and sometimes uses cc too.

I went online to find some neutral color palettes and used that here for this outfit since this Sim has the neutral skin tone. Though warm and cool color schemes would be fine as well.

The jacket originally was supposed to match the jeans but as I was changing the color before I got to the B channel I really liked the lime green and kept it.

This look has a bit more work but I was also trying out to some cc although my favorite cc typically is based on frankenmeshes or other edited in-game assets or TSS match (The Sims Studio because Maxis had split up into two teams, one was TSS who worked on TS3 and those that stayed with Maxis worked on SimCity before re-merging which the logo can be seen on some of the later EP/SP covers.) So I was randomly scrolling on YouTube and this video came up and then it kept coming up and which of course I kept listening to it because I started stimming on his voice. Then I thought what if I try a 90s, 00s look?

Model: Brandon Ng (Based on wave 3 from the Barbie Looks line)

And then I keep forgetting about NVidia Freestyle so yeah, here's that. I am so happy that NVidia still supports TS3 and I hope one day they can include something that makes ray-tracing possible as in when it rains the ground looks wet and reflects the surroundings and all that cool stuff. Especially because I can not only take screenshots but play the game with the current filters and there is not any performance hit amazes me.

Random: Why isn't there more loose-fitting/baggy clothing for males and females across the life stages? Or at least ones that are TSS match because sometimes...a lot of times the textures, construction of the mesh is just not my aesthetic. But I am in love with the jeans Brandon is wearing and wish there was a female version too. Oh well.
