This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business
Default Too much of a good thing??
Gyod, i have so many mods in my game, it doesn't even play anymore. It takes 20 minutes to load, 8 minutes to get into the neighbourhood, 11 minutes to get into the house, 7 minutes to go from the house to a community lot, and of course 4-8 minutes to go home.

at this point my Sims2 game is merely a screensaver. The price of perfection.

Question: Someone pointed out to me that perhaps the game takes so long to load and play because it's committing all the sims and neighbourhoods (I have 3, plus strangeville and Verona) to it's memory and maybe if i deleted entire neighbourhoods I dont really play any more (but keep thinking I may return one day just to look up old Sims) that it would run smoother and less chunky...?

Has anyone tested this theory? I want to be sure before I delete the whole thing. I have some pretty brilliant sims and houses and it would be like burning artwork.

what are your thoughts. Watson?

I don't think deleting neighboorhoods would really help it.. I have 4 neighboorhoods that I've created and its no different than when I had the original 4.. like you said its probably the mods you have.

That's what I thought. What a shame bcause they are some much fun and make the game more believable and less cartoony. I've always wished the game could be tweaked for us people with no kids to be "corrupted" by the adult content we can download.
