OMG! I know now that I need to really clean out my downloads folder....lol! Right now, I have 3.27 GB which is actually 17,701 files and 1,308 folders....but my hacks folder is 454 MB, 1,112 files, and 296 folders.

That doesn't even include the items that I'm about to install...I guess I'll be spending most of my day cleaning out my downloads....

2.65 gigs not bad. Of course, that was only when I realized that I had some glitchy DMA download that was 6.95 gigs all on its own. I knew I couldn't have 10 gigs of CC. I'm not that download crazy. Once I deleted that, my downloads folder made quite a lot more sense.

I have 2.55 GB, and I think it's time to do some cleaning, because I hardly ever use half of that.

Well, I had quite a bunch of downloads. But I just lost them all and I didn't had an up to date backup, so I'm just gonna play with no CC for a while.
Yesterday I got the University package, so there's enough new stuff for me to explore.

And I don't mind to redownload stuff. Downloading CC for the Sims is becoming a short of hobby for me. :P

I had 7913 files and 97 folders so its about 2.16 GB. I seriously need to do some spring cleaning in my Downloads folder, but I don't know what to delete! ):

Well, I have 2 downloads folders now. I got fed up waiting for my game to load, so I have one folder with stuff I use when playing the game, it has 2700 files, and one I use for when I'm doing contests, it has 11200 files.

well I checked my download folders the other day and it said 1,121 files. So yeah I have quite a few.........my computer is dying :skull: lol
And I'm still downloading :spin:

Am I missing out? I mostly have Maxis stuff with only a small amount of CC so my download folder is only 100MB with 198 items. How many items can one get before it slows down your game basically?

This Is A Tech Issue Question and Does Not Belong Here On this Forum You Would Need To Go To Technical Help At Modthesims2, But I'll Answer To Be Helpful, It Depends on How Much Memory (RAM) and Expansion Packs you Have Before It Slows Down on you and Messes Up Your Game. So Say You had the BARE BARE MINIMUM of 256MB of RAM your game could probably handle about a few gigs of CC or so (i'm no techie but I'm assuming This) and If You had the Bare Minimum for BV (512MB RAM) your game would be the same, but if you didn't have BV then the game will be a bit faster. The Game's A lot faster with more than a Gig of RAM I Have 2 Gigs on my Laptop and it runs faster than when I had a Gig of RAM, although 1 Gig isn't all that bad for a lot of CC, just don't run more than 1 application.

I just totally deleted my downloads folder, and I'm starting over in a much better organized, and picky, way! So far I only have 239mbs.

I totally cleaned up my downloads, aside from my hacks (I have around 400 of those, and my game has never borked because of hacks), and some defaults. So, around 150 MB for my downloads, down from 2GB

^ Woah, that's a lot of hacks.

I started cleaning up my game yesterday. 3 GB to 1.7 GB. I'm going to do another "round" today.

1.3 GB now

Well, not so much..

2771 files (661 mb) - 63 folders

Around 825 Mb, almost up to 2000 files. Not much at all. o_o

I just started with my downloads again due to the fact i had to reload all my sims! But at the momment i have 2.37 GB which is 7,187 Files! I am only halfway there to what i want though

So far none. I have been only downloading houses, I only download houses that have no CC.

oh my how do you live i love my custom content my game would be so awful without prettyful hairs and mods and hacks

I have much CC, and it happened when I downloaded more the game didn't want to open. :-/ So far my Downloads folder's size is 1,15 GB. xD It's more fun to play with CC than without. :-/
