i heard we can now see where sims work watch them etc, but as i donno play very well i think im doing something wrong... because i cannot see the places when i try to see it appear for me only the ground, even when i go buy groceries it shows theres something inside i hear the noises but cannot see anything i only can see the library when i go there is it normal? anyone tell me what im doing wrong please.

You aren't doing anything wrong. Sims 3 has two types of neighborhood lots:

* "Community lots" that act like community lots did in TS2. You can control your Sims there and watch what they do. These are denoted on the neighborhood map with a blue icon.
* "Venues" (your Sim's workplace, the theatre, the grocery store, etc.) where your Sims go to participate in activities you cannot watch. The community is calling these venues "rabbit holes" because Sims disappear into them.
