Default WCIF a mod that stops butlers from using the telephone?
Does anyone know where I can find a mod that stops butlers from using the telephone? It would be beneficial when burglars are visiting the lot. Or when playing as households where one or more residents in the household were originally burglars. As the butler will autonomously call the police, obviously unaware that the 'burglars' are either visiting Sims or tenants.

If this happens, the police will come over and fine the household for calling when there was no emergency. Even though it wasn't anyone in the household that made the emergency call. The only current solution I have – which I want to stop needing to do as soon as possible – is to add the phones to one of the tenant Sims' inventories.

Locking the butler out of any rooms containing phones doesn't help either. As the butler will be too distracted with trying to reach the phone to do any of the household chores.

You could always delete the phone and give your sims cellphones? Quick fix maybe until you find a mod.

Yeah, I'd rather not do that. Even with cell phones existing, I like to keep the phones for backwards compatibility.

"UPDATE 4: I have found out that Maxis didn't add a proper "on duty" check to the butler's scanning for burglars and calling the police code, meaning that if a burglar NPC appears on your lot as a visitor, then the butler is immediately pushed to call the police, even though the burglar isn't burgling. This update fixes this oversight."

Unfortunately that fix comes with the whole rest of his mod and not separately.

Yes, that's why I don't use a lot of their mods (can't pick and choose components), but it does do what C.Syde65 wanted.

How easy would it be to delete all the other parts of the mod? Depending on how easy it is, it might be possible for me to 'separate' it from the rest of the mod.

I'm no modder, but I would assume deleting everything but the "sub - scan - make calls" resource could perhaps work?
