I am using a tiny island world, and I want to use a custom career which needs a home university.
All the plots are small so a ready built will not fit.
I have the university rugs, I have the Nraas careers mod (the basic one not the addons)
I built what amounts to a shed with a lobby leading to two tiny rooms and the three rugs (admin, annexe and stadium).
I was very unsure as to which kind of plot I should choose, and I've tried various community types (does it make a difference?)
I can get the sim to visit via the rabbit hole, but not get the career working ( it is Missy Hissy's finance degree, which requires logic and charisma level 1, I did that bit)

I'm trying to eliminate errors I may have made along the way and wondering if there is anything special about rug placement (do they need to be on different lots for instance?)
Do I need anything other than the three university rugs to make a home university?

Uni rabbitholes that I know of and that I believe you have installed:
- College of Arts
- College of Business
- College of Science

But also:
- Annex
- Administration Center
- Uni stadium

Aaah no, spoke too soon. All the options for home university show up now with six rugs, but I messed up and accidently bought the 'buyable diploma' for the sim I had in mind, at least I think I did.
I'm not sure if that really is the problem, but I don't seem to be able to enroll.
I think I tried to jump ahead too many steps at once here and should try things out in a simpler world, with a simpler task!
I'll take a break for a while and come back to it.
