Default Hello my fellow Simmies
Hi there, I have been playing the Sims since the year 2000. I still have my original Sims discs, all the expansions, and the same for the Sims 2. But now I have the Sims2 Ultimate collection. It's great, I still love the Sims 2 the best, it was made with love and I never seem bored playing it. I wish EA would combine all the Sims games but based on the Sims 2 that in my opinion has the best gameplay style allowing us to travel all over our cities and towns.

Can anyone tell me how to reduce the footprint of an object or make it so my sims can walk through it. For example, I want to make a Drive-Inn Movies theater. I almost have it, but I need my decoration-only cars to have no footprint so I can put a couch or some chairs in the cars so my sims can get in and sit in the cars while watching the movies and allowing all the cuddle and makeout actions on the couch. I managed this many years ago, I found some decorations cars that were exactly as I described. Unfortunately, after I created my masterpiece and was ready to possibly package and upload the lot, yup, my computer crashed and I have never been able to find those mods again.

Well, I hope everyone is doing well and maybe someone can help me out...
This is a great game and after 24 years I am still a huge fan.

There are a couple methods to fix the footprint.

The "easy" way, for simple deco objects (not interactable) - this way can both reduce the number of GUIDs/OBJDs and you can decide whether to expand the footprint or not. One-tile items are very handy for OMSP use (reduce GUIDS/OBJDS to one), while multi-tile ones (one GUID/OBJD but expanded footprint) are nice if you need them to have a larger footprint (can't be walked through).

You can also use the Moveobjects cheat to place items over another item's footprint. Sims sometimes complain if they can't reach the item, though. There are OMSPs that allow them to walk through (one-tile) objects, here:
