Default Sims Won't Woohoo :( - Edit: Mystery Solved; it was "Shooing"
Ack, help! My Sims won't woohoo! Once in bed they will cuddle, kiss, and make out, but selecting "Woohoo" results in a new animation I haven't seen before--a vague flipping of the hands, similar to what one might make to say "forget about it" or "leave me alone."

I'm not sure if this is a Nightlife thing, a same-sex interaction problem, or perhaps a conflict with the mods I have installed. Has anyone else seen this animation?

fyi - I have several global mods installed, but only a couple that might affect the beds or woohoo behaviour. These are Simlogical's "reserve beds patch" (#2) and the Insimenator (UV) v.2.1 Sim Edition.

Does anyone have any ideas? My poor celibate Simmies!

How is their relationship? How attracted are they to each other?

Hmm, that's odd. I was going to do some troubleshooting and try to narrow it down before I got back to you, but after further testing... the problem has simply disappeared! I can't explain why. I didn't exit the game, although I did go to play in a different household for awhile (no problems with celibacy there!).

Shoot. I guess I've got to chalk it up to "strange fluke" that appeared several times in a row, in different locations. Ah well. Thank you very much for your help. I guess I'll just have to keep playing and see if I can figure out why!

:sorry:

aimlesscoyote, the problem you described is not a problem at all. It is a normal part of game play. It is called shooing. I will almost guarentee that their were other sims in the same area as your sims trying to woohoo. This "problem" has been reported before, and this has been deteremined to be the cause. I have seen this happen in small houses where the only option for woohoo was to put the double bed outside. Even if a sim is on the other side of the house, the shoo animation will kick in.

Burn The midnight oil, it will be daylight soon...

Ohhhhhhhhh! Thank you, Billy! That does make sense. There weren't Sims in the room with my pair, but there were some on the lot. They most likely triggered the "Shooing" animation.

Thank you very much! I appreciate it.
