After installing Nightlife EP.Create family/create student cause game to crash.I have no mads instaled.
I uninstalled Nightlife and the Create family option worked.Re-installed Nightlife EP. and Create Family Crashed game Again.

I've deleted groups.cache file and that didn't work either has anyone else had this problem..

taxidriver351, hello, I have two questions for you. 1) have you verified that you have not picked up a mod or hack from somplace? Downloaded houses, downloades sims and custom careers cause the majority of problems with game crashes. You can do a quick check of this with Clean Installer . 2) are you changing the installation location of Night Life, or using the Maxis default path for Night Life install?

For a friend of mine who had this problem, it turned out it was caused by a custom CAS background, and reverting it to the original CAS background fixed the problem. So if you have a custom CAS, it's possible it's that, too.

Its most likely a bad kack or custom CAS. Many of the older custom cas tutorials had you overwrite the installed ones in ALL ep directories as well as the base game's. If you've done that, you need to replace the one that came with nl or restore the other two.

Ok Bilyd1000 i dont have any hacks or mods instaled with game at all right now.I have also checked out the thread you posted also.as far as CAS screens i did use a custom one with original game.But like i said the create family worked when i had the university EP installed.

Am looking for CAS files now but cant remember where they are located

They're in GlobalLots. You need the same cas file in EACH one. Or you can put the custom cas in your downloads folder.

like when I took the camera files out of my cameras folder and deleted them by mistake the game wouldnt open so I had to get my original sims2 disc out put it in the click explore and search through the disk to the file I needed. on sims2 exchange lots of houses come with hacks u might of got a CAS screen or your old on is deleted.

Well Folks it turns out it was a custom CAS i used for the original game.I copied the CAS file from Nightlife into the other two and it worked thanks everyone. Consider this problem solved.
