Default Saving problem with the sims 2
For some reason, my actually Sims and their families aren't being saved correctly.

For example, I make a new family, move them into a lot and build them a house. I quit the game and come back. Only to find that the house I built is still there, but the family is nowhere to be found! The same problem happens with existing Sims too!

I used to use downloads but I've taken em all out. I've installed the latest patch and I have 54 GB space left in my hard drive. I've also tried re-installing the game.

Any solutions? Help is appreciated!

Hi there. I dont recall anyone else haing this problem before, but i will give my best answers lol.

When you resinstalled, did you reboot this coputer and then reinstall. This may work.

After uninstalling did you delete the actually sims2 folder under "MY documents" and also under your "C drive/ hard disk"
This is clearing any bad data from the faulty installation.

You say yoou have got no downloads therefore this rules out the Clean Installer and any threats coming from bad downloads.

You may want to consider that this may be an error with the disk itself. You can either contact ea games and report this error to them at www.thesims2.ea.com and then "contact us". They will have a list of known errors and a solution to them

Also if they dont know, you may want to think about the fact that this *is* a problem with the game, so why not take the game back to the retailer at which you purchased this game and ask for a new copy and explain that there is a problem when saving the game.

If this error started after installing a new version of the sims e.g university, or nightlife then it is this game that is causing the problems obviously.

Please let us at MTS2 know how you get on and which method worked for you for future reference to problems with this same domain.
