I do have the Patch downloaded.
My Problem is this. I create a family and thats works fine. I try to move them into an already furnished lot.( I created the lot myself and furnished it)
They never seem to load in. it keeps going and going and going.
I can eneter the lot without sims in it. The problem occurs when I try to move the family in.
By the way I did try boolprop testingCheatsEnabled false
to make sure there is not a glitch in that.
I can move the family onto an empty lot without any problems its just when I try to load them in an already furnished one that it stays in limbo mode.

Have you tried disabling the hacks/careers?

I have no hacks or careers. I doubled checked with Clean Installer

That happened to me. Just move them out then move them back in and see if it works.

In order to do that since the never seem to load I have to reboot the pc. When I load the game in they are in the lot just frozen. I move them out and in to an empty lot it loads fine. Move them back to any furnished lot and they freeze.

Does this happen on every lot that you try to move a family into? If so, then I'd suggest moving your downloads to your desktop, and trying the game without them. This will tell you whether your problem is with a download or not.

I had a very similar problem whereby my lots wouldn't load when trying to place a family in them and when I rebooted the family where in the lot but frozen....after a complete 3 game reinstall the problem was still there so i figured it had to be custom stuff...i also had no careers or hacks...so I brought up my downloads folder with clean installer...sorted them by "date installed" and removed all downloads I'd installed just before my game messed up....it worked fine after that

I had the same problem so I ctrl-alt-del and ended the task of Sims2EP2.exe... then started the game again. The family was in the house,, and it worked when I clicked on it.
So maybe just try that!

Thanks All...Problem solved it was a problem with my config folder. I had made a user startup cheat in my original version without expansion packs; I somehow left it in and made a new one in my config folder. It Caused a conflict since they are both slightly different. non the less it has been cleaned up. Thanks again for all the help!
