I don't know what is happening with my game... Today my son went to the school in his own car (I have 3 children, so 3 cars, one for each of them)... The other 2 were normal... They left the house with no problem... This son I have, he entered in the car, his icon has changed with the school icon symbol, but he didn't left the house...
AND NOW MY BUY AND BUILD MODE haven't turned in normal (on)... They're still off, I don't know why!!

What can I do???

1.try waiting till its time for him to get back from school.

2.(if you have UNI) type "boolProp dormSpecificToolsDisabled false"(Enables Buy Mode)

3.Type "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" get close to the car to you can click him inside. hold shift/click him/click force error/reset. (forcing error on car does nothing)

if you do just put all their stuff in their inventories.

did you try and have all them leave at the same time? That might be the problem. Either let them go 1 by one or have them carpool to school together.

Solved problem!
I used the "boolProp dormSpecificToolsDisabled false" cheat, then I entered buy mode and deleted the problem car...
When I back to the play mode, the buttons were on again!
