Hey guys - I've condensed the three threads into one easy to read rules thread

OK just a few ground rules for what can and can not be posted here....

This is a discussion forum. Topics that create a discussion are the only thing allowed here.

Threads that are not allowed here are

Sims-related threads
We have Sims 2 Chat for issues/discussions etc relating to sims 2 - off topic is just that, off topic from the general theme of the message board - which is the sims!

Search threads
-example-"What was the name of the song at the end of this movie?" or "Can someone make me an avatar?"...
Do the work yourself. www.google.com

Personal threads
-example-"My cat swallowed a marble", "My parents hate each other" are NOT allowed here. No stories about your personal love life either. Exceptions to this are threads about pregnancy/birth of a new baby and the loss of a loved one.

Mindless chatter
-example-"Whats your favorite color?", "What kind of shoes do you wear"...
These do not illicit any kind of a discussion

List threads are NOT allowed
-example-"Whats in your CD collection" or anything that is a narrow subject that can not create a discussion

Game Threads
This includes, trivia threads, 3 word story games, above or below games - none of that.

No Advertising threads- These fall under personal as well. Do not post links and say "Look at this!"

No sims talk at all ... there is a forum called Sims Chat for that and that can be found here Sims Chat

Anythin that may create a civil heated debate of two sides, such as religious, or political threads go here The Debate Room

Any questions about technical information or modding can be placed in the MTS2 forums at www.ModTheSims2.com

Threads that are allowed
Anything that creates an intelligent, broad, discussion topic!
"What are your favorite movies and why?" IS allowed.
"What types of books do you read?" IS allowed
Remember kids, broader topics include more people in the discussion. Dont narrow your topics down and cut a large group out.

Site rules apply as well... Do not flame other members, watch your language as this site is 13+, and do not spam the boards.
If your post doesnt recieve a reply, BE PATIENT. If you bump your thread it will be deleted.

However I still see threads daily that ask other people to do the work for the poster. To help you all I've compiled a list of sites you can use for various seraching needs.....

This site has an alphabetical list of all sim sites since the Sims 1. It will take some getting used to, and they dont seperate by sims 1 or 2, but its a very good start to finding all sims site on the net

For computer gizmos. Offers price checks, quality checks, full description etc. A great site.
