I havent used Sims 3 in a long time, last time i used it to make animations was about 8 years ago. I recently bought a 2nd hand copy of Showtime expansion pack thinking that that is all i would need (along with the Late Night one) to be able to make a video of a band playing.

But low and behold......no microphone at all!!!!!. I cannot find a microphone anywhere, and im very surprised by this, considering it was in the University expansion pack in Sims 2 along with guitars and drum kits. I know that in the Showtime pack, being a singer is one of the careers a sim can follow. Is it true that the only way in Sims 3 (along with the Showtime expansion pack installed) that a Sim can do any singing is to go to the big park which is a community lot?. That's no good if you want drummers and guitarists to perform with them. When i click on my sim, no option comes up to have them sing, when their on their residential lot.

This is most misleading, considering that when you boot up Showtime pack, a picture appears of a man singing into a microphone whilst holding an acoustic guitar. I have seen Sim 3 videos on Youtube of sims singing into a microphone, so their must be custom content on the internet for this?, but the only one that comes up on modthesims when you type in "microphone" is this one >>>> https://modthesims.info/downloads.p...ort=0&fbf=0&u=0

Are there singing animations that you can type into the animation player if all else fails?

perhaps that youtube video you saw might be a modded game using these custom animations...

I cant find the video now, but it was a male sim gently holding a mic on a microphone stand and gently singing into it, but those videos you linked me to i have seen aswell.

That microphone i linked to on Modthesims i actually already have, and you cant make a sim sing into it, all you can make them do is what you can make them do to a mirror, as it is found in Decor.

Surely though that now i have Showtime installed, with the animation player, surely i can make my sim do pretty much all of the singing animations that can be done in the game, on typing command?

I've noticed that female sims with the Diva personality trait, will act like their singing into an invisible microphone autonomously. and All i know is their is a singing career in the sims 3 with all expansions, but I don't know how to become a singer, somebody on YouTube said something about using the smartphone? but I never figured out how to make a sim become a singer. but yea their is an actually singing into a microphone animation somewhere in the sims 3 files but I never used the animation player.

But I have seen a female sim sing into an invisible microphone or should I say sing into a pretend microphone in the bathroom when she was happy and not busy doing something else. She was just standing their for a couple of sim minutes then she starting humming into her fist, but I think it is because she has the Diva trait in her personality
