Mod for Managing the Trendsetter Moodlet from Future Statue
It bothers me for quite some time now, that you automatically force your outfit onto other sims, especially those of your household, when you have the trendsetter moodlet after completing the trendsetter challenge for the future legacy statues.
The most annoying part is, that it adds another outfit of the respecting category or overwrites old outfits. Some of my sims have 6 everyday outfits now, because they "collect" those of my trendsetter sim. Overwriting my original outfits is also not nice, i like them.
On the other hand, i like that townies change their outfit to my sim. So i decided to do some research if there is a way to have both. No triggering by sims of the household, but triggering by sims of other households. I started looking at some tunables. Unfortunately, those variables only offer a "top or flop" solution. Either the trendsetting is applied to all people or to none. (you can set the chance for triggering the outfit change to 0).
So i started developing the idea of having a "toggle mode", that turns on and off the outfit change. So whenever sims of my household are nearby i can toggle it off, and on when my trendsetter is in the city. I have only little experience with script mods so far. So maybe somebody here has suggestions on how to proceed.
My first idea was this: The moodlet triggers an action, that can be manually canceled, if you are fast enough. "Follow trend" i think is its name. So maybe a solution could be with "toggled off" mode, that when a sim gets this action into the queue, it gets automatically canceled.
Another idea is, that with toggled off mode the tunable variable for triggering the outfit change is set to zero. Although i'm not sure, whether that is possible while the game is running.
So, that's it so far. Ideas are welcome.
