Default What is wrong with this apartment? Only one tenant is available
Hello, I am currently turning a residential lot into an apartment, but unfortunately there was one invalid apartment. The invalid one is the one in the left (the one with the green countertops)

I have tried editing this lot multiple times but i got nothing. So, what is wrong with it? Thank you!!

I can't see anything wrong at first glance. How do they access the pool?

Could be something to do with arches- apartments seem to have problems with arches on the disgonal in apartments, and you also have a diagonal arch onto a garage with a door. So I would try swapping some arches for doors to see if that's what the issue is.

I will choose a path that's clear- I will choose free will

My gut reaction was the arches but they seem to be fully fenced in so that should not pose a problem. Maybe doors into the garage? Your walls are not up so one we can't see properly and it's a bit far away. I would say put up the walls and get closer pictures of each apartment.

If the arches were the problem, then the apartment wouldn't work at all. This one had one working unit so I doubt that it's the arch. I've put up some pictures of the apartment in close angles here

I'll try this, thank you!

Both those links show me the same image, the pool access one. Just attach them to the post.

It's definitely strange. Both the units look identical to me, but there must be something different.

Sometimes it can be something as simple as stairs or landings or how an object is turned. Sometimes an object will complain if its turned on an angle or sometimes only one way. So for example spiral stairs can work one way but not turned the other way, which you tend to do when you make mirror buildings. It makes no sense but there it is. So its quite possible the arch or stairs is happy on one side but not the other.

In my gated apartment lot I had 4 houses. i used some stairs with a landing, the landing broke the upstairs apartment, but only in 2 of the houses. So two worked and two did not. The lay out was identical but flipped on each house. I had to switch to straight stairs for all as I wanted matching stairs. So its possible it could be something as simple as the direction of the spiral stairs.

So i decided to change all the stairs for elevators and that still didn't work. Making the backyard communal areas instead of private backyards still didn't work. Changing the multi-story windows also didn't help, sadly.

Yeah i'm gonna call it quits. There's no way that this is going to be a real apartment.

Could you package it and drop it in here so I can take a look?

I'm not too knowledgeable about what makes or (quite literally) breaks an apartment lot, but I had faced a similar problem earlier this year. I was making a village-esque apartment lot and, long story short, learned that a few custom doors and windows were throwing the error. Is your lot CC free? If not, you might want to either remove all CC from the lot OR rebuild it from the ground up to help narrow down the issue.

Here is the lot if you want to take a look at it. I've added back the arches and the private backyard. I've packed it in a Sims2Pack file as advised.

Mmh, I'm not too sure why phonehack and "driveway extension piece - brick" are both highlighted red in the Clean Install. Usually red means outdated (problematic or broken), I think. Anywho, This lot is not CC free. If it were, then I wouldn't have recolors and objects showing up on Clean Install. (I think. Please someone correct me if I am wrong!)
I do think phonehack and that driveway piece might be breaking your lot..

..After an install of only the packaged lot and placing it in my test world, I was able to turn it into an apartment without any errors. I do think this is a CC issue. There are suppose to be 2 available units, correct?
