Hello all,
This is both my first upload here at MTS2 and my first real 'object' recolor of anything besides eyes and hair. Thus, please let me know if you spot anything wrong
I've always been interested in birds, and own two parrots; a cockatiel and a caique. Naturally I was excited to see parrots arriving in TS2, and although the ones in game aren't quite as... keen as their real life counterparts, I've still been striving for some more variety. I'm attempting to make the markings as accurate as possible, but naturally because of the restraints of how the textures are set up, (ie, top and underside of the wing are the same), this isn't always possible.
So! I finally got around to creating my first of (hopefully) many avians to come- the Blue and Gold Macaw. My (optimistic) plan is to create several packs; Macaw, Cockatoo, Raptor, etc. I'm currently on the Macaw pack, and hope to soon create the Hyacinth, Greenwing, and Yellow Collared Macaws. So keep your eyes opened if you enjoyed this one )
All that was done for this was a photoshop edit of the preexisting Scarlet Macaw; I do not know how to 'retexture'. This was primarily done using desaturation and the various other tweakings.
-----
My Guidelines:
-Feel free to recolour my recolours... Just link back to this page.
-Do NOT upload my creations on the Exchange or pay sites.
-You may use my creations in pictures, stories, etc.
-Please give credit where credit is due.
Thank you!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
I used to do parrot recolors for TS2, however with TS3 around nowdays I haven't seen reason to do more. Perhaps eventually I'll find something to recolor in TS3, but in the mean time, I haven't been doing any modding.
