The Back2Basics range consists of simple, but sufficient starter homes for Sims on a budget. The four objectives for this range were:
  • The live-in Sim should be comfortable in the house without buying any more items.
  • The lot should be as cheap as possible.
  • The lot would still remain stylish.
  • The lot would be compatible for the base game alone, and not include any custom content.

The Back2Basics Double home is large enough for a couple of adult Sims. There are three rooms, including a bathroom and a bedroom.
