Noted for its surreal and provocative textiles and wallpapers, the design studio Timorous Beasties was founded in Glasgow in 1990 by Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons. Visit their website for information on purchasing their one-of-a-kind textiles!

With everyone enjoying the first collection of Timorous Beasties, I continued on and finished all the collections. Enjoy!

Ahh, I just love Bees!
"Napoleon" is part of TB's "Entomology" Collection. The French Bee was originally chosen during the coronation of Napoleon to appear on his official coat of arms. Napoleon's corronation robe was replete with embroidered bees as a symbol (taken from Merovingian kings of the past) of "'a republic with a chief', with a sting but producing honey". I thought these would look best in a kitchen setting and I created two distinct versions of wainscotting - the wooden one has more of a "mission" feel to it, while the black is a bit more modern. I also included the plain wallpaper.

All found under wallpaper and 7$.
