Say Thanks!
Thanked!
Since a lot of people requested the hair that my model was wearing on my last upload, I re-textured it and recolored it. It doesn't look so hideous now, and since I don't think I can manage any better with this mesh, I am uploading it now. It is a recolor and realpha of a mesh from Pronupsims, and I have made it in the four maxis colors, black, brown, red and blonde. The hair turns grey for elders.
It is available for all ages, but I personally don't think that the toddler and child version work very well for this particular hair. I only tested the textures of the teen, adult and elder versions in my game. The mesh is animated, which leads to some clipping (see picture). The bun on the teen version is also much smaller than the adult and elder versions, for some reason.
They are not binned, because SimPE makes my computer crash. If anyone wants to bin them that would be super.
To find the mesh, you will need to go to Pronupsims, and go to 'Email/Help' at the top, click on "How to make skins and meshes?", and click on the list of Pronupsims meshes. It is called MESH_RosematHBunUpdo221005. Or, you can download the mesh for hair #36 in the hairstyles section (called "jump"), but I am not totally certain that it is the same mesh. NOTE: This has changed--someone has added the mesh from the now dead site to the comments section, so you can download it there. I don't play the Sims 2 anymore, sorry.
You may use the textures for whatever you like, but do not put on paysites or the exchange. Feel free to make recolours.
Additional Credits:
Thanks to Rosemat for the mesh. The skins are by Enayla and Ephemera, and the blue teen dress is from All About Style. Models are mine, or are townies.

This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.

About Me
I like making historical and retro clothes for my sims.
You can do what you like with my creations, but don't claim them as your own, use them on paysites or put them on the exchange. Credit would be nice, but I don't require it. As long as you have done something new and original with them it does not matter to me.
If you want to request something, you are welcome to send me a PM to see if I am interested. I may consider making it--particularly if it is something that is retro/historical, and if you have found a mesh that I can make it on. It will probably take a while, though, and I usually only make things that I might want to use myself.
I have more things at my dreamwidth.
