(This is my very first Sims2 texture and I know nothing about seperate re-coloring.)
And it was made by using the "Sand Dune.package" by simsfan3ds at MTS2. And I used Maxis Sand $4 ($=simoleons) texture from a close-up screen print.
After half-a-dozen sessions with Deluxe Paint, I simply left the Gamma at 1.00. Then I adjusted the Opacity (OP) to 30, for a white-fill to reduce some yellows. And then I reduced the brightness by -10 percent for a bit of blending-in.
But as you will notice in the pictures, shadows will never let it truly match the sand.
Then I used SimPE, to Import this texture to the sanddune-foliagered_txtr.
(And yep, just place this in your Downloads and enjoy!
