Nefertiti is not only famous for her legendary beauty, but also for being one of the first supporters of monotheism. She and her husband Pharaoh Akhenaten were responsible for the entire country of Egypt switching over to worship of the Sun God, Aten. He was placed above any others. After the Pharaoh and Queen died they were openly branded heretics and Egypt went back to its formerly polytheistic lifestyle.
