Join us now for another edition of Simoleon Weekly, as we take a look at the residence of Miki Kobayashi, founder and CEO of the Kobayashi Group. Despite Ms. Kobayashi herself being away from the property on a business trip, we were gratefully allowed a limited tour of the home.

For the few of our unaware readers, Miki started life in Shangla Simla, helping her father Yataro run his small computer repair shop. While he saw modest success, it was Miki who realized the full potential of the business and upon her father's passing, transformed it into the multi-national conglomerate we know today.

Perhaps the most obvious influence from her father is her love for cars. Indeed, as we reach the front entrance, we couldn't help but notice what was in the driveway. We were told Ms. Kobayashi keeps the rest of her multi-million simoleon collection within the subterranean climate-controlled 14-car garage, of which we were granted a viewing. We don't have any doubts that such a collection is guarded 24/7 by the high-end surveillance system we've noticed around the property.

Continuing our tour, we were shown the library, home gym, spa and even the dojo where the executive herself hosts large tournaments for various charities. Everything about the custom home, from the materials to the layout, was chosen by Miki herself...down to the private back yard pond reminiscent of the lake she enjoyed in her youth.

All in all, as we were escorted back out the estate's front gates, we couldn't help but wish the CEO herself was present to answer our burning questions about her home. When we inquired about another future tour in which Miki would be home, the answer given was "possibly". While that's not a yes, it is also not a no. Until then, we'll just have to make do with pictures from our photographers.
