The Civic was Honda’s way of politely crashing the global car party-and immediately being more sensible than everyone else. Small, light, and impressively efficient, it arrived just in time for the 1970s fuel crises and made other cars look a bit… thirsty. Despite its simple layout, it packed clever engineering (hello CVCC engine) that helped it meet strict emissions rules without breaking a sweat. It’s not flashy, but it’s cheerful and eager, like it genuinely wants to help you get to work on time. In the end, it proved that being smart and efficient can be far more impressive than being big and loud.

My friend Shotaro made the model from scratch for another game and allowed me to use it. I thought it would be perfect in the Sims, because the most cars available (for decorations) are big, new and expensive and thats just not the vibe I am aiming for. So if you look for a vintage style and a bit of a whimsical look, that you might like this little Honda.

The car comes
  • in 8 different colours, that the car was sold in, in 1970s
  • with the deco elements in the buy mode and costs 3500 credits.
  • needs no Expansion Packs - basegame only
  • can stand outside, no problem. Its a trooper!
  • can have some objects placed on its bonnet and roof
  • can be looked at as a sculpture by the sims - I thought that would fit for a vintage car
Known issues:
  • I wanted the sims to also be able to lay on the bonnet, as on a sun chair. I wasn't able to get that done.
  • There are weird reflections on the wheels sometimes, depending on the light.
Feel free to message me if you can tell me how to fix these. But don't forget, I'm a noob.
Feel free to comment! I love comments

PS: the downloads section says that you need to download another mesh in order to make this mod work. That's not correct! The question in the upload was "where did the mesh originate" and that's where we uploaded it. Anyways, click the link if you want to see the mesh in its original context, download it if you like (and if you got the game to drive it) - its nice if it gets many downloads! But its not obligatory for this mod, not at all. All you need is in the download from this page.
