Hi everyone,
I've been trying to create a new career in SimPE and encountered the following problems:
1. Official career tutorials on SimPE are old and not updated for 2026. In particular, it's unclear:
1.1. Which is the newest version of SimPE that I should download? Where can I download it?
1.2. How to load the Sims 2 Legacy Edition files into SimPe?
1.3. Why doesn't Bidou's Career Editor work on any of the versions that I've downloaded? I keep getting errors no matter the version and can't even open this editor within SimPe. What could be causing this? Has anyone encountered a similar problem?
1.4. Registering GUIDs: I managed to find a workaround to register a GUID, but what about Group ID? I found it impossible to change it. And the original tutorial by SuperFly doesn't work.
Please help! I've got tons of great career ideas but these technical problems are blocking me.

I have found that SimPE 0.75.69.11 works well for me, so I would recommend that one. You can download it here: https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=630456. Have you tried opening a career package and then selecting Bidou's Career Editor? It won't work unless you have a career package already open. It looks like you can download a base career from here:https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=630456. You would then need to change the GUID under the Object Data (OBJD) using Plugin View. Hope that helps!
