Default Modding Functional Objects With Bones
I would like to convert a wardrobe from the sims bustin' out but have struggled to find up to date guides on how to do this. I have already managed to extract the mesh and cloned a copy of an armoire via S3OC but now i am confused on what i would need to do from here.

It doesn't appear that many object creators pop in here. I've done a few, but not many. There are several tutorials on TS2 to TS3 object conversions you may try looking at. Just type in "TS2 to TS3 object conversion", in your search engine. Several should pop up.

The object tools available are unfortunately a tad outdated, so they're fussier to teach than CAS tools and won't really have modern guides until the tools themselves are modernised.

The general gist is that you either need to look up how to assign the bones in Milkshape, or if you're lucky you might be able to use Blender 2.7 and cmomoney's plugin - some objects just won't import, but you can weight-paint as normal if they do.
