Squeeee, spoilers!! Thank you! I accidentally played the neighborhood backwards lol. I started with Service Area after hearing about it from SpringSims and only found out about JSO later. So, I made JSO a subhood, finished playing the families in Service Area and am now working my way through JSO. I just got to the Ormans and now I'm like "Ooooo, the plot thickens" I've gone through the snapshots of the last update you posted here (SJSO 2025 Test1 (NoCorrectNames) and SSAR 2025 Test1 (NoCorrectNames)) and just those snapshots made their story make a lot more sense. You're doing a great job. Just have the Rosales and the Toledos left and I'll have played all the families in both neighborhoods as of your last release.

So sorry I took so long to reply! Had a thing this week happen and only just started today. I'm going alphabetically and I've got some stuff on the Automotive family to send you that I'll DM after I write this. Lol, things are already juicy.

I think without the extended family tree mod, those relationships won't show up. So maybe just recommend it? If you install it and then save the neighborhood with it in there, I'm not sure what that will do to the save for anyone who doesn't install the mod. Maybe you can just have it in, see if it's showing the relationships you want, close without saving and then delete the mod.

Creating AI art for Service Area is quite fun xD. If I fix that cactus a bit, it really is a pretty creepy painting worthy of Madame Zirconia.

As always, I'm continuing to sort through memories, and I'm also editing some biographies, especially those of NPCs. I'll see if I can update them soon. I've seen some YouTubers want to play the neighborhood, and I wouldn't want them to play the old version. lol

I've been using SimPE for a few days now, clicking on each Sim's option to have their names appear correctly in all languages. I'm going for letter N! XD I know you can do all the sims all at once, but I don't know how to do it. So I'm doing it one by one and checking the bios at the same time. I'll probably upload the new version to modthesims in a few days. It still needs to edit more memories, there are probably some order errors, but I think it's better to update now.

@simsample I think @HarVee said you can copy strings or something. I actually thought I'd read it carefully later, but it got lost in the forum.

As I recall I was referring to the "copy string to all" function in SimPe, which as it implies will take the currently selected string and batch-copy it to all available languages. There is no way to do several strings to all languages at once, if I am recalling correctly. So basically, there is no way to do all the character files in one go. Sorry if I confused you about that.

Now that I've updated Service Area, I'm back in Jeans Shaker Oasis. I actually left it in a pretty advanced state, so maybe it won't take me too long to update this neighborhood too. ^^

It's been a while since I've edited memories; honestly, it's one of the last things left to upload both neighborhoods xD I hope I get around to it soon!! XD It's like I have to edit the memories of 400 characters. xD But anyway, at least everything else is almost finished. To make up for the wait, here are some pictures of the new houses in Jeans Shakers Oasis. I've also been editing all the texts and bios for both hoods and I'm happy with the result, although maybe I went a bit overboard with the geekiness and swearing in some of them xD Maybe I should tone them down a bit.

Well, I've almost finished everything. I'm just adding the McBunny family photos and tweaking a few things. But I'll probably update both neighborhoods in a few days! Honestly, those who played the old version of Jeans Shakers Oasis will find it much more complete, almost like a whole new neighborhood xD. There are probably some things that would be good to point out when I update, like texts that get cut off, jumbled memories, or broken family connections. Even though I check all those things, there will probably still be a few bugs like that, so please let me know so I can fix them! But yes, after this update I promise there won't be any more lore or characters added to either neighborhood. The lore is truly established now. Just fixes.

Regarding Aberon Garden, it's only about 20% complete, so it will probably take a while to finish and there's no set date. Maybe in the future I'll ask some forum members for help with building some of the castles xD. The positive part is that I already have a pretty well-developed story, along with the characters and their ancestors, so the hard part is really just building the castles XD.

I said I'd update in a few days, but every time I open the Sims memories, I think, okay, I'll fix a little more. xD That's what happens when you give Natalie a family tree and create a new family to make sense of Austin Stone now being an old man named Busting, and it's his son who actually looks like and is named Austin. xD I also fixed Lafayette's family tree and memories, since it didn't make much sense for Oracle to be his mother, so I changed it to be his grandmother, creating a more extensive family tree. xD Honestly, seeing the new characters and families, I realize it adds more depth and connects all the stories better. Now everything feels more organic.

It occured to me, as I keep holding off on playing Service Area because I want to play it in tandem with JSO, are there any plans to offer subhood versions of these hoods, so we can really play them together? Maybe tie off the project nicely once AG and (maybe) the University Hood get made to make a megahood out of it?

These past few days I've been dealing with a very significant loss, so I've had to rest. But I'll soon pick up where I left off. Regarding the sub-hoods, that's always been the idea, but the university project and AG still feel a bit distant since there's still so much to do. My goal is to have the sub-hood versions of Service Area and Jeans Shakers Oasis available as soon as possible, so anyone who wants to can play without having to wait any longer.

So I imagine I'll update both neighborhoods soon, and then I'll look for a tutorial on how to make them sub-hoods. I don't think it'll be too difficult.

Although, apart from having sub-hood versions, in the future, it would be great to have the mega-hood version with everything as you say. And yes, the project is Jeans Shakers Oasis, Service Area, and Aberon Garden. Next to the university. After that, the Cassidyverse will be complete.

Although there's still time to finish AG, I've invented a story that, while connected to the Cassidyverse, feels quite independent, like a distant place but somehow connected.

Here’s how things are looking so far with both Jeans Shakers Oasis and Service Area. I’m still doing a few final tweaks before I can update them on ModTheSims. If anyone feels like taking a look and letting me know if there’s anything that needs fixing, it would be more than welcome and very helpful. ^^ You can do so either in this thread or via private message. As you’ll see, the project is already in its final stage, but it still requires editing some memories and adjusting their order.

I also need to remove some memories that Jessica and a few others have related to Cassidy 00 suddenly aging up, as this could be confusing. I’ve tried to make it clear that Cassidy 00 was born elderly, and I want the memories to reflect that properly.

I’m also sharing a look on my progress with Aberon Garden. As you can see, there are still some empty spots to build on, as well as the two paths leading up to the mountain. Some areas outside the city center and along the river also remain unfinished. That said, the parts already built are progressing at a good pace, especially in terms of interiors and proportions.









I’m also including an image of the Ravengold family, the royal family of Aberon Garden. While I don’t want to reveal too much about the story or the characters just yet, I feel it’s appropriate for the king and his family to finally be shown now that the final versions of Jeans Shakers Oasis and Service Area are nearly ready for release. We’ve already seen him, as well as his sister Lady Condemn, in some of the newer images, and even in an older one.
