Hello!

I think this is great work, I showed this to my 26 year old sister who is in her 2nd year of recovery of Anorexia & she thinks they are good work, she wants to make a movie of hope which I will be helping her do in the near future, ( I have got her in to Sims Ha! Ha!) she thinks they will be perfect for the movie, she did want me to ask you a question which is.... Is it possible for you to make some young adults like aged about 18 to 25 years old & with underwear? As she wants to be able to choose how to dress them up shoe/clothes-wise that is. Keep up with all the great work!

Thank you!

It reminds me of a girl in my history class, I think i can literally wrap one hand around her waist...its kinda creepy.

but some people just have a higher motabolism than others.

Great job, now i can have more of a variety being morbid obesity and the maxis thin.

She stood in the rain
And gazed at the golden grass
Longed for those memories
She knew could never last

social commentary is fun and all but I can appricate this for what it really is a peice of art and hard work you did, this is AMAZING! I really enjoy it, eating disroders ar eno laughing matter but for those of us with Characters who are this thin this is a very good thing, any chance of an adult male being made in the future?

This is very well done.

But my emotional reaction is, "Quick, somebody rush these girls to the hospital!"

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

its sick because the people choose to starve themselves because they think it makes them better looking although they get health issues and die. its not funny, its not cool, its what's ruining thousands of teen girls across america.

5'9 and 80 pounds... that is a BMI of 11.8 (healthy range is 18.5-24.9, severe starvation begins when BMI falls below 16). If that were true, you would look like a skeleton. The only people I have seen like that were people in the late stage of anorexia.

I think everyone who is freaking out over the people freaking out about how skinny these meshes should realize that I bet the original poster figured they would get *some* criticism when making this mesh. I'm sure he/she is more than willing to take in everyone's opinion. Good or bad.

Furthermore, there are things wrong in the world involving self-image and weight. If there's an obese mesh, then there'll be 'the thinnest teen' mesh. Yin and Yang.

It's a sensitive issue and when something is posted like this, there will be discussion. Both about the topic at hand (the mesh) and whatever derives from the topic (weight).

Either way, hard work was done and I'm not one to discourage hard work.

I don't understand why people are being so hypocritical. People post bigger sims and everyone is like "WOO! ALRIGHT! Real people!" and then you post a thin person and people are like "Ew sick. Anorexic freak!" like we shouldn't accept every body type.

What is wrong with you?

First of all, I happen to have fought (and at current, fighting) many battles with anorexia nervosa, so I am, quite frankly, offended by how rude you people are about serious mental conditions that can completely ruin you in every aspect of your life.

Second, I have a friend who looks very similar to this girl in the mesh. She eats more food than anyone I have ever met. She does not suffer from bulimia, if that is what you're thinking. (Trust me. When you have an eating disorder, it is so easy to tell if someone else does too.) She will sometimes go on eating binges because people constantly call her "anorexic", "freak", or even "gross" and so just the opposite of how anorexia/bulimia is caused, she may eventually become over weight as she becomes older though binge eating which is also an eating disorder.

It isn't okay to poke fun at ANYONES body shape or size, no matter how small or large they come. It is just plain rude. I don't care if they really do have anorexia or bulimia nervosa, because at that point, they then need help. Not more hatefulness.

By the way, 5'9" and 80 lbs is not in anyway, shape, or form, truly healthy. At that weight and height you should be passing out regularly, losing control over your bladder and bowels, experiencing hair loss, and loads of other problems. Not to mention you are probably now sterile and will develop osteoporosis within a few year. Holding low weights have terrible side effects just as high weights do.

HEAR HEAR!
rawrquel, I agree with you 100%. I have a friend named Debby who is in a very similar situation. she suffers (and I DO mean suffers!) from an hyperactive thyroid condition. at 5'7" and averageing around 65-70 pounds at age 32, this girl is always tired, often depressed, and rarely seen without food. she eats 6 meals a day along with snacks in between just to keep her weight that high. She also drinks slimfast for the quick calories and carbs, and was often humiliated at wal mart when she was buying cases of the drink. She would try to pretend that she could not hear the rude or snide comments from others in line at the check-out counter, but was frequently in tears before she reached her car. one day, she snapped and started screaming at the whisperers about her condition, her body's inability to store calories, how she could literally starve to death in 24 hours, and how all she's trying to do is survive from one day to the next. That they should stand naked in front of a mirror before criticizing other people's bodies. she left the slimfast where it was and ran out to her car where she sat and wept and wondered if her fight to live was worth it.
Fortunatly, the store manager came out to her car and spoke to her with compassion. he gave her his card and told her that if she prefers, she can simply call him when she needs to restock. he will put however many cases of slimfast she desires in the back room, she can come to customer service to pay for it, bring her car around back, and an employee will load it for her. while still embarassing, it was much more dignified than what she had been going through. this worked very well for Debby until she met and fell in love with her soulmate/lifemate Ginny, who has a near perfect body (by society's standards) but still does not look at all out of place buying the diet suppliment.
I know that this is a very long post, but it needed to be said. just because in line in front of you is "too thin", does not mean it is a conscious choice. there may be underlying reasons that are none of your damn business. That person may be literally in a fight for their lives and they do NOT need your insensitive, callous, hurtful remarks to remind them that they are "creepy". the mirror does that quite well.
rawrquel, I wish you all the best in your continued fight and pray that your skin is thick enough to repell the snideness of these narrow-minded, cruel simpletons.

My GF and I have started a brand new forum for creators, both experianced and new, who want to share what they've made. Great starting place for those who can't get posted elsewhere yet.

GothPlague has an anorexic skintone to go along with this, as well as a few articles of clothing for the poor simmies.

Great job with the mesh =o

Although I wasn't going to download since I don't have any real use for anorexic Sims (XD), I wanted to compliment you on your meshing skill.

>< I need to learn this stuff and stop being such a noob! DX

This is quite the amazing mesh. I really like the hipbones. If it was a male, taller, and just a bit more boney this would look like my youngest older brother. x') If anyone asks (however, I don't know why one would ask and I don't think someone actually cares), no, he does not have an eating disorder, whatever the reason he inherited it. He looks a lot like our uncle who is very thin and still eats dinner for five.
I'm still amazed by those hipbones. If she had bigger breasts she would look like a girl from my previous class.

The whole discussion about "anorectic thin" and "hurtful comments"... I don't get it. What are you doing? Are you arguing? If so, about what? I'm sorry if this sounds angry or anything, I'm merely curious and honestly do not get what you are doing. ^^'

And, if someone who is struggling against an eating disorder happens to read this... I think I might be developing one. My very sensitive stomach and liver is not helping. Do you have any advice? I don't wish to be thinner, I just find most of the food disgusting and eating is a hassle. Unluckily for me, I quite like how my bones are more noticeable now. I have a weakness for skeletons.

Uhh.. no, that doesn't quite add up. I completely understand having a fast metabolism, eating a lot but still being skinny, etc. But being 5'9" and 80 pounds? That would mean you would have a bmi of 11.8.... You wouldn't be considered anorexic, you would be considered Emaciated. Anorexic is under 17.5.... 11.8, that is dangerous. If what you say is true, you... should be in a hospital, like right now.

But, I'm guessing your lying. Because otherwise, that is insane, (and impossible if you do eat). Starving people in Africa are 11.8...
