She's lovely. I think she makes an excellent Lúthien!

She's gorgeous. And almost exactly how I pictured Luthien, too. Keep up the good work..and happy Tolkien Appreciation Week!

I have only read the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, but I know about Luthien...this is a lovely Sim of her!

Erm... Actually the original book was Silmarillion, not LotR. And the story of Beren and Luthien is one the most unimportant in the book...
Love the sim, though ^_~

I've never commented before but, wow, kudos. She's a perfect Lúthien.

Lovely - and unlike her descendant, she's actually quite scary and capable in her own right, instead of a maiden staying and waiting to see if she can be earned.

Beautiful - I love it! Im a LOTR fan and all the books of him (before/after) and I think this is terrific. I actually got my display name from her (the character not the sim) and yeah its great

Comes very close to my own visualization of Tinuviel, except I would make the nose a bit more delicate and the eyes more grey. Her gown is a bit greener than I would pick, too. However, she doubtless had more than one in her wardrobe, lol. She certainly looks more as I think JRR would have envisioned Tinuviel/Arwen than that woman they had play her in the movies. (Arwen, you may recall, was thought of as "Tinuviel reborn.")

It appears, however, that you have fallen into the Hollywood trap and given her pointed ears. There is no canonical reason for this, in fact Tolkien said that elves differed from humans only in the clarity of their voices, the brightness of their eyes, and their overall beauty. IIRC, this is not simple to fix in Bodyshop.

Reyn: I agree with you about Luthi vs Arwen. JRR had an unfortunate tendency to view women as trophies; Tinuviel breaks this pattern. Although I strongly doubt that Arwen was a "maiden" -- what, for two thousand years before she met Aragorn? Get real, JRR!

Laimeniel: I would have to disagree with you about the importance of the Beren/Luthien story. I think it is one of the central threads of the Silmarillion, and most important because it is one of the critical blendings of human/elvish blood in the history of ME. Tolkien probably spent more time messing about with Luthien/Beren and the Quest for the Silmaril than he did with any other story except Turin Turambar.

But this is not the venue to discuss that. Excellent Sim, Dancegurl.

When I saw this name in the recent downloads, I almost split my face open smiling. This has always been one of my favourite parts of the Silmarillion, and this sim is absolutely breathtaking. Looks simple, but beautiful, especially those cheekbones. *downloads* Thanks!

Lúthien Tinúviel... how can't we like that character? lol
The Silmarillion is one of my favourite books...
But I would have imagined her with a more delicate nose, as said malthaussen, too.
Oh well, downloading nevertheless !

im gonna be really picky an say that luthien had raven hair not brunette. Elevs in LOTR have only Raven (black), Gold (Blond/e) or silver. Not ginger as i saw in the films or brown. lol. sorry.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, then to be loved for who I'm not
