Ooh, did you manage to convert this? Cool.

(Could you make the inline pics 800px or less wide, please? They stretch the entire post off-screen .. thank you!)

For some reason, the stone exterior, columns, and roof style remind me a little bit of Falling Water. Were you inspired by that architect or that kind of style? Nicely done.

No. I made this house a long time ago, long before I ever wrote the alpha version of the TS2GridAdjuster; I used CFE throughout the design of this house and found out just how painful it could be.

However, this is the house that made me want CompatiLot.

Lost Angles was originally made with Uni + NL + OFB + FFS + GLS. At the time, I didn't realize that this limited the number of people who could use this house. When I did realize, I decided that I should remake the lot to be base-game compatible. But, the idea of doing all of that work again was just too much.

My alpha version of CompatiLot allowed me to back-port the structure of the house down to Nightlife-only, but not to the base-game (probably because of the angled pool). If you're interested, you can see more in my journal and here:

Sorry about that. My video card doesn't seem to like 800 x 600, but I'm sure that I can reduce the size of the pictures for you.

I'm sure that there's not a modern house designer alive who wasn't influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright. But, I was just fooling around with a sequence of houses based on various geometric shapes and this was the result. As you know, I really find that there's a dearth of modern one-story homes.

Please do -- it's not just "for me", it's actually a general rule here that inline pics can't be wider than 800. Lots of people have 1024px wide monitors.

Check out all the triangles! I'm so loving this! Great work, Mootilda!

This allows me to see into the minds of people! That's right, I can actually see what they're thinking!

Oh...My gawd... F***ing brilliant. I love it. Attack of the non-square houses. (You can never find any good triangle houses anywhere.) Now I hate square/rectangle houses. Die rectangle die! That's right RECTANGLE! You have been defeated! Now you go to rectangle prison! ...That was weird...

how do you did you do that? I mean, make the house different levels and the roof square?

I built every level at full height (walls and floors), then used the ConstrainFloorElevation cheat to lower the upper levels to elevations of 4 clicks each. If you search for ConstrainFloorElevation or CFE, you should be able to find tutorials which will show you how to do it. I used the tutorials at MikeInside to learn how:
http://mikeinside.modthesims2.com/index.html

I have since written a program which allows me to do this more easily outside of the game. If you are interested, check out my TS2GridAdjuster:
