I'm having the exact same issue, could you by any chance tell me what website you got the alternate download from if it's still available?

Sorry to necro this thread but I had some insight on the download for people having issues. All 9 parts work from the download page but what the website is doing is adding on the file number to the beginning of the file name. It downloads the parts named something like "MTS_Pyronium3_1270562_SetrabyPyronium3.part01.rar" except that number changes for each part. For multi-part .rar files to work they have to all be the same. What I did was delete everything before "Setra", leaving just "SetrabyPyronium3.part01.rar" and did so for all 9 parts. After correcting that it will extract with no issues. Also, I think there's a limit on how many files you can download at once, if you click on another while that limit is downloading it will give you errors(404 Forbidden or something like that). I noticed people had issues with 6-9, I'm guessing the earlier parts hadn't completed yet. Hope this helps some people, it's a beautiful world.

Well, what can I say...I thanked this upload in the past, but didn't have the machine to actually run it. Now I do, and I am having a blast. I have not read all 300 or so comments, but the description said to avoid playing the Mendez household...(ok if NPC's, delete horses is playable etc.)
So of course, this is the first thing I did. I selected them, as my very first household to play them lol.
Nothing bad happened, and they are keeping both horses. Pretty sims, by the way.
Then I went to create my own sim. Enjoying your beautiful World since! Thank you again.

Does this work without pets or ambitions?

EDIT: On second thoughts I'm pretty sure the dams will be missing without Ambitions. And you cant replace missing CAW items like that So, no it doesn't work without them, not really. I suggest buying Pets and Ambitions the next time there is a cheap sale on Steam and then adding the keys to Origin account, if you have Sims 3 on there.

It should load and sort of work, but buildings, Build & Buy mode items & CAS items will be missing which you will have to replace. And IIRC several families have pets. Doing this might not be worth your time.

World Adventures and Late Nights are definitely required, however.

The only thing stopping me from enjoying this masterpiece is that some families are "unclickable" for me. As in, left clicking presents no menu. I have tried evicting and replacing these "problem families" to no avail. I have deleted caches. It seems like most families/households are "clickable" though. The one s that are "unclickable" I have discovered so far are: Grooves, Wanton, Carpenter, Nazair, Natalis, Hanson, Chase, Utbar, Fuller. There are also a few families with just one member being "unclickable". I have tried saving an "unclickable" family, deleting the original in the house and replacing with the saved version and this failed. I have tried removing an "unclickable" family and placing one of my own saved ones in the same house, which resulted in no issues with interaction.
It would be a lot of work to replace all these "unclickable" families, and it's just painful to remove their story-lines from the world!
Please help a brother out, I am so keen to dive into this awesome world.
