What would EA do without people who fix their screw ups? ;-) Thanks for doing this!

Thanks for this. It bothered me the square window was not recolorable. Second is it just my imagination or does the low poly version of the 3 tile window seem to look backwards from a distance. When you view the houses that have them from a distance the window looks like it is placed backward but when the house comesinto "fullview" and the high poly meshes are seen the window corrects itself.

Probably not the right forum for that rant, but again thank you for fixing it.

It's not just you, I see it too. At first I thought that I misplaced a window on a house I built, but then I got closer and it looked normal. Weird.

For creators, I just want to make sure this mod allows the cas'd windows to transfer without problems?

As long as the person DLing it has the window and the fix it will.

Great idea, the first thing I thought about this window is "why isn't it CAStable???"... I must be doing something wrong though because I can't get this fix to work in my game.

I have a decrapfied version of the Lucky Palms windows, which are combined with other objects from the same set in a single compressed package file (I don't have the world itself though), this big package file is in Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages.

I ran your fix through the decrapifier (placed it in the "decrapify" folder and dragged it over decrapify.exe... that's how it's done, isn't it?), and then I put it in Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Overrides.

This set-up works for me with other overrides (like Tamo's plain Prius t-shirt, for instance) but I don't know, I know I'm missing something but can't figure out what.

You're not by chance trying to recolor an already placed window are you? I've tested it out in my game again and it works.

No, I placed a new window... something must have happened to my window file during the decrapifying/converting/compressing process and maybe your mod can't "recognize" it for some reason. Let me look for my original download of the window and try something, see if that works.

I tried this:

The big compressed file with all the Lucky Palms objects except the rectangular window in Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages.

A separate package file of the Window Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages.

Your mod in Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Overrides.

Still nothing, but as I said, I'm sure it's not a problem of your mod: either something happened to the window in the decrapifying process or I didn't decrapify your file properly.

On the other hand I could also buy just that one window...
