Please forgive me for posting this so long after these files became available; I don't think I should refrain from expressing gratitude just because time has passed...gratitude should be timeless, right?

As my brother and I have been fighting over what color to paint the house owned by my family trust that I live in (I want deep azure, he wants ochre!), I made a Sims replica so different colors could be tried out, and he can see the end result (he has trouble visualizing things). But I couldn't find enough variety in siding colors...until I found your collection. So many to choose from, I am sure my brother and I can find at least one we agree on. You may have headed off a full-blown familial conflagration. Thank you so much!

I am very happy to have helped avert sibling warfare! I've actually done something similar with housemates, though not really in Sims, since I draw in CAD. But the game can definitely be a great visualization tool that's easy to "draw" in.

Should you actually settle on a color from this set and it's one of the non-Maxis ones, I'm pretty sure I used colors from James Hardie for the non-Maxis colors. I don't know if those exact colors are still something they make, but generally siding colors don't change very much, so they probably have something similar. I think that's a brand sold at Home Depot.
