I know the original comments are a few years old, but I came here with the same problem as a few earlier posters (custom colours not showing up properly) - so in hopes of helping anyone after me, the solution I found was that (silly me) I didn't have CEP installed. With it half installed (did I mention I was silly?), I could re-design the custom mesh, but the original Maxis object still wasn't designable at all. With CEP fully installed, everything works perfectly.

Also, Michelle, I love all your wood recolours (matching furniture everywhere!!). Thank you so much!

Poppet Recolors
I love this set, I just found these beautiful recolors of the Coffee table by Poppet and this Add on set inherits all those colors too

You forgot the LACK Orange, Turquoise, and Purple(Violet) recolors!

I think this was before Michelle added those new three to her usual Lack palette, but I would definitely like to see this set updated, those are some of the best!
