I don't suppose you would be able to make separate packages for bookcases/displays, though? I don't use displays that much and it seems a shape to have them sitting in my catalogue unused.

Well the thing is, they all use the same textures -- I had them split up initially, but if I'd upload them separately I'd need to put the textures in both packages, and one texture alone is already larger than everything else taken together .. so that would only be useful for people who will definitely only use one, everyone else would get twice the file size for no good reason.

If you don't use displays much anyway, can't you just ignore the whole Displays section? If you can't you can also open the package and nuke all the display COBJs, or put them in a separate package .. here's a list of IDs:

Again, thank you for filling an obvious need. I have no idea why Maxis felt the need to make all of these "oversized" two tile items. Its like, bigger Sims, so they need bigger items? Thank you again, now I have some bookcases I can put in bedrooms other than the same wall case I had been forced to use.

That sounds very reasonable, actually. I guess I was mostly worried about Big Files taking up my precious space, but as it seems they're not such big files anyway... maybe it's time I got friendly with the display section after all

Oh no, they're not big -- when they are separated, each one is about 50kB; the package that also contains the textures is almost 600kB. Duplicate textures take up *way* more space than anything else.
