Thank you for this! My pixel children get so tired after a long day in school so that they're just about wiped out when they come home. This will ensure that they're still active after a school day.

I have made a lot of different school types as well. They can be used all together thanks to Inge Jones' School Changer.
Can't your different versions be used with her School Changer or did you make this in another way than I did?

I'm not familiar with how you did yours, but I'm guessing you made an entire career? These are global mods that only affect that tiny part of the school as a whole. Think of it as default replacements for the hours in maxis schools.

I used the different schools from Inge Jones as a base.
But it makes sense to me when you say this is like a default replacement for the maxis schools.
Now I know it won't effect my custom schools.

No I know it's not a career, but as far as the game is concerned school is essentially a career for children. I figured yours were based on Jones' schools, and those are full "careers" with all parts included and separate from Maxis school-types so that's what I meant with "career". Thank you for making me realize I should clarify that it only affects maxis schools

Would you mind creating a 9am to 3pm for teens?
In NZ the school hours are 9-3 for children
And ~8:30am to 3pm for teens
I have always found it odd that the times don't match.

I would not mind, no Longer schooldays for teens, from simfileshare. Keep in mind though that teens can have jobs that start at 3pm, and work won't take being at school as an excuse to not be there on time. Carpool will still show up for them, even though they are in school. It'll honk for a bit and then leave once it realizes Sim is not at home. So if one uses teen jobs I would suggest using the mod that makes school start at 8 as well, so that they are home in time for the carpool.

Actually it was quite common in my town, Elementary school kids were released at 3 while middle and high school kids were released at 2. I actually thought it was that way everywhere ;-;. It was probably to shield the younger kids from bullying on the bus at the hands of the savage older kids.
At any rate, great mod!

I came to second Sims2Christain's request for longer days for teens. My real life children (one in primary/elementary and the other in high) actually go to the same school and have the same start and finish times (8.40 to 3.10), so I wanted something similar. I've downloaded the file and going to try it out. My sims rarely have after school jobs, so staying at school later won't affect that! Thank you very much for the download.

Not all schools start at 9AM. You're correcting the sims based off of your experience, and acting like that's all experience.

I think you'll find that my description doesn't say schools universally start at 8am, just that they do where I am from. And I believe all mods are correcting the Sims based on our preferences, otherwise we'd just leave it the way Maxis/EA made it. My whole philosophy is that people should get to tailor their games in the whatever way makes it the most fun for them, which is why I kept the two separate since I knew that not everyone would be interest in an 8am school start. I am sure the 500 or so people that downloaded the 8am change did so because they felt it made more sense to them.
