I've never heard or seen about this...thing, honestly. I laughed out loud upon seeing that enormous 'hard to swallow' pill!

BARNACLES! I HATE THE PILL!

I doubt that EA made the Pill that big for the sake of censorship. It was probably done for humor. I for one love the Pill.
