Hello, lately I have downloaded many new careers, and I don't see them available, I think they are only for university students (even university students and a specific specialty), is there something so that the sims can see all the careers that I have in my game even if they are not university students?

I think you can make a thread post in Sims 2 Help, then maybe people will have an idea of how.
(Note: university students cant have careers without mods, so if you also posted what careers you downloaded it would be helpful.)

@Missdabone
Doctors Need Degrees is a mod that unlocks all University careers, but it does also make it so then Sims need good school grades or a degree for most careers to advance past certain levels. It also has support for custom careers, which are put into the 2nd most accessible category by default, but you can tune this to your own liking. It is a really cool mod that I can only recommend though.

If you ONLY want the career unlocks and not the other features, then Get Uni Career Without Education (last file on that download page) will be your preferred pick.

@FuryCat
I think they don't mean for Sims to get jobs at University (which is also possible through Jobs in University, that said). University introduces four careers - Paranormal, Natural Science, Artist and Show Business - which normally only appear in the Job Search if your Sim has a degree.

Hey! Thanks for this mod!
The mod Edukashun Iz Gud by Cyjon is conflicting, I guess the conflict is similar to Doctors Need Degrees by KittyCarey?
Code:
_Mods\CJ-EdukashunIzGud.package --> _Mods\Restricted_Job_Offers\simNopke-restrictedJobOffers-core.package
	BHAV: 0x204C - Unlock Check (0x7F441294)

@Nostural Yeah, the way to resolve the conflict with Cyjon's mod is exactly the same as in the case of KittyCarey's mod. I've just updated the description. Thanks

@LimeyYoshi That is exactly what I was looking for, I have nothing against university sims, but my sims tend to be abducted by aliens and have many children, do you know how many I should put in university? Many and spend days and days studying and it is tedious. ..and the ones I don't take to university cry and get sad (even though their aspiration is not for knowledge or fortune)... Thank you for that mod!!!

What does this mean?

"It's almost like in a vanilla game but the offers are no longer biased by aspirations and college degrees of household members."

Do you mean in a vanilla game the newspaper/online job offers are biased by aspiration and degree? Could you explain more about this?

@simsfreq Each job is marked in the game as suitable for certain aspirations. In a vanilla game, when you play a family, on the first day job offers are chosen to match family members' aspirations. Additionally, if a family has no members with college degrees, jobs which need them are omitted when creating offers.

@Nopke Hello, thank you for making this really detailed mod and also for incorporating the Job Rejection mod! I've just given it a try with Pick N Mix's Newspaper & Computer Job Summary mod and while they don't conflict, they don't really work well together because this if mod causes a sim to qualify for just 2 jobs in the newspaper, the summary still lists the 3 career tracks that would ordinarily available. Or, if less than the full usual amount of jobs are available, say 4 on the computer, the summary will say '$NameLocal:7' for the fifth.

An idea I was also thinking is that, if we use ld's rejection version, jobs that a sim does not qualify for could still be shown, but they will always be rejected if they apply.

@BellaDovah Thank you for your report. It looks like Pick'N'Mix's mod needs to be rewritten to work with my mod as intended. Therefore, I've put it on the conflicts list with a note.

I think this mod has some issues.... 3 days and there's never a job available (maybe its a glitch or something, I don't know). as much as id love to see what this mod could really do, I gots bills to pay.

@xXstarcickXx What config files have you chosen? Perhaps your Sim isn't qualified enough for the job offers and for that reason they simply don't appear.

Thanks for this, I hadn't realised! I would like to look at the code, which BHAV is this in? I am interested in creating a mod where the chances are random

I know about degree-requiring jobs not showing up; I am happy with that.

@Taemaly Do you use Lazy Duchess's Job Rejection Mod? The simNopke-restrictedJobOffers-core-jobRejectionMod file is meant to be used with that mod, as described in the Installation and compatibility notes and Conflicts sections.

I have a question .lets say, the job i want and applied for, rejected me (when i use job rejection version) .does it mean it will never appear again for that sim?

@Taemaly No, it may appear again another day so your Sim can apply once again. Note that it most likely won't be the next day or the day after.
