This is amazing! I always was never able to place the cabinet over the stove, but this is just perfect. I assume this disappears as with the over-head lighting, in build mode?

Dunno...I didn't test that. If it didn't, it would be a small price to pay for having a ceiling smoke alarm though, wouldn't it?

Thank you! I was going to ask if this could be recoloured - then I realised, hey, it's on the ceiling - who cares what colour it is! Another really useful addition - I'm sure I'll use this in all my houses.

This is VERY handy. Thanks heaps for this. In real life, Smoke Alarms are SUSPOSED TO BE on the roof!!!

I am the same Lakeyboy from SimTropolis, The Sims 2, The Sims 1 & SimCity 4.

(Hopefully) Coming soon, I plan to release an Australian TV Addon for the Sims 2. Adds 5 extra channels to your sims standard lineup. Will include ABC, 7, 9, 10 & SBS!

I don't get this either, it seems the most obvious place for a smoke detector.

Just to let you know, I installed Open For Business and your alarm no longer shows up. It simply gets replaced by the Maxis wall alarm. *weeps*

I always hated wasting wall space. Phones need it, security systems need it, paintings, doors and windows need it... so this is awesome. Anything that gives us an option to free up wall space is a terrific addition in my opinion. I love it and am very grateful. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this!

Excellent, you have done a great job. Never in my life have I seen a wall-mounted smoke alarm, ever, because smoke rises up to the ceiling.

This completely replaces my wall mounted smoke alarm in my catalog. Is this supposed to be a replacement?

I am having the same problem.......

Have you ever walked into a room & forgot why you went in there?
What if God is playing The Sims & he just cancelled your action.
