Is everyone tired yet of all the slender iron posts for what are otherwise lovelt, lacy iron stairs? Well, here you go.

They require Numenor's recolourable wrought iron stairs, found here - http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=55436
Without them, they will not work, because they pull their textures from his stairs.

However, on the good side, you only need to recolour his and you get both recoloured - since sometimes we want those iron posts going into the ground, it makes for easy matching and fewer files!

Thanks to Numenor's kindness and genius, these stairs have the same features as my open frame wooden stairs - sims can walk under them, you can build under them, place furniture under them, etc.

This project has been a learning experience, and very happy-making - I always loved these stairs, but I prefer the open look - and the only default open stairs by maxis are all very modern - doesn't suit me at all.

Remember - you MUST have http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=55436 for these to work.

Also, you need the Scriptorium - http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=192613 - Place the text file in the Modular Stairs folder [ shortcut will be in your downloads folder ]

Thank you so much, Numenor, for all your help on this! I hope everyone enjoys these. The house in the picture is in the testing phase and should be forthcoming soon, too.
