The Watcher's Council Career - TESTERS WANTED

This is my very first upload! It is a Watcher's Council career and is based on the Watcher's Council from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The Watchers' Council of Britain is an organization dedicated to finding, training, and supervising Slayers in the fictional Buffyverse. The Council eventually bases its headquarters in London, England. It tries to locate potential Slayers and then send Watchers to inform and train them. - Wikipedia

I have tested this career on my own computer and as far as I can tell it is working perfectly but please do let me know if there are any problems or if I have made any mistakes. It is both EP compatible and does not override any Maxis careers.

I have not added any job specific uniforms at this time and I don't really think that this is the type of career which would need them, nor have I added any custom rewards. I have created chance cards for all ten levels and a couple of examples can be seen below:





The job titles and descriptions are as follows (they are the same for both male and female):

1) Administration Assistant § 70 - M, T, W, Th, F; 9am till 6pm

Whether you just finished school and are looking for an exciting career path to embark on or whether you are bored of your current job and want to try something new and different by joining our team here at the Watchers Council, you will not be disappointed. As an administrative assistant you will begin at the bottom of the rung but your job is of vital importance and is necessary to keep the Council running at its peak. Your job involves the use of in-house Council software and access to the confidential archives, and in addition you will be expected to put in some solid hours of study and attend various training courses.

2) Researcher § 130 - M, T, W, Th, F; 9am till 6pm

As a researcher you will be reporting to the Intelligence Specialist. Your work will benefit from a sharp eye and a heavy stomach as much of what you will be required to research will be of complex and disturbing proportions. You will also undertake a range of projects working with colleagues from different departments. The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines will be essential in this role as will the ability to think logically.

3) Intelligence Analyst § 200 - M, T, W, Th, F; 9am till 6pm

Our intelligence analysts play a critical role in supporting investigations. You’ll be working with a wide range of electronic information to identify and interpret trends, patterns and associations in the data. This type of analytical work requires the ability to understand and capture the essence of complex problems.

4) Intelligence Officer § 355 - M, T, W, Th, F; 9am till 6pm

As an Intelligence Officer, you'll be faced with some of the most challenging issues affecting national security today. The decisions you make will play a major part in our efforts to counter the demonic and paranormal threats which we are faced with on a daily basis. It's one of the most demanding, stimulating roles you could take on and also one of the most rewarding. You will be expected to be in good physical shape, have a strong mind and will need to be prepared to dedicate countless hours and hard work to the Council.

5) Magical Analysts § 425 - M, T, W, Th; 9am till 6pm

Not all work can be conducted via logic and human skill alone. Much of the work the Council performs relies heavily on the influence of our Magical departments. As a Magical Analyst it is your responsibility, amongst things, to develop new spells, receive intelligence of threats which are brewing, locate the whereabouts of potential slayers and to keep in touch with the Powers That Be. A solid understanding of the Magical Arts is essential as is the commitment to study and further this knowledge. Creativity would be an advantage in this line of work as would be a very strong body and mind. The Magical Arts are not for the faint of heart.

6) Demon Hunter § 500 - M, W, F, S, S; 7pm till 5am

Out of the books and into the battle. No longer confined merely to books and paperwork, you will now be expected to enter the battle arena and fight the forces of darkness. Physical strength is of paramount importance and a strong, logical mind cannot be underestimated. One must be dedicated to the work and never take this role lightly. As a Demon Hunter you will still be expected to study consistently in your own time.

7) Specialist Demon Hunter § 750 - M, W, F, S, S; 7pm till 5am

As a fighter of evil, you have exceeded expectations and are now given the opportunity to specialise in a specific entity. There are various breeds to consider: ghosts; vampires; warlocks; different demon breeds – so choose wisely. You must be prepared to be sent on missions all over the world. Study is crucial in order to constantly be ahead of your game.

8) Watcher § 900 - M, W, F, S; 7pm till 5am

Well you’ve made it. The Council trusts you enough at this point to give you the essential responsibility of training and preparing the potential slayers. To successfully train and prepare your charges you will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of all dark and dangerous creatures and forces which seek to destroy us. Equally important is that you are strong in body as well as mind; that you can fight if need be and make the difficult decisions, often at times when death is hanging upon you and your charges. This is a job that must not be taken lightly and you must at all times be on call for emergencies. Welcome to the ranks of the best.

9) Active Watcher § 1350 - M, T, W, Th, S; 7pm till 5am

You have been handpicked above all your colleagues to take the ultimate position in the Council. You have proved yourself over and over to be of strong mind, body and soul. You have shown courage and quick thinking at times when others would have turned tail and fled. You have often made hard decisions in order to put the work of the Council first. Your excellent work has not gone unnoticed. Only one person can take this position: the position to train and guide the active Slayer in her fight against the forces of darkness. Train her well and prepare her for what she must face no matter the outcome.

10) Head of the Council § 2000 - M, T, W, Th, F; 9am till 6pm

You never expected that you would live to see this day, did you? Well, you did your duty and the Slayer served her time but you remain and for better or worse it is important that you make use of the time you have been given. An opening for Head of the Council has cropped up and as someone with extensive experience in all sectors of the Council, both in and out of battle, you are the first choice. Your duties will see you ensuring that all aspects of the Council run smoothly and any decisions made will need to be approved by you. Congratulations for reaching this far – far too few people ever do.
