Updated: 2nd Mar 2005 at 6:02 PM - Corrected lvls 7-10 chance cards thanks to "KLGFCG"
(Update 2-2-05): Just overwrite old package in download folder..sorry to those who downloaded my interm update yesterday, 2/1. Fixed money award amounts for chance cards lvls 7-10...thanks KLGFCG ! (Career makers take note of his post in this thread.)
(Update 2-1-05): Just overwrite old package in download folder.
Here is my first submission........the Radio Announcer career !
I have been in the business on and off..mostly on, for 15 years, so I'm hoping you will find the career informative as well as fun. It will take you from radio station newbie to national talk show fame in ten challenging levels.
Features:
-all chance cards completed AND interesting
-will not overwrite any existing career
-all texts converted for languages
-custom icon
Levels and pay:
1. Station "Gopher" - §200
2. Board Operator - §350
3. Overnight Announcer - §500
4. Evening Announcer - §650
5. Mid-Day Announcer/Music Director - §800
6. Afternoon Drive Announcer - §1000
7. Morning Drive Announcer/Program Director - §1500
8. Nationally Syndicated Overnight Talk Show Host - §2500
9. Nationally Syndicated Afternoon Talk Show Host - §3500
10. Nationally Syndicated Morning Talk Show Host - §5000
As you can see, the later levels pay very well, but it is a demanding career skill point wise, heavily weighted towards charisma, creativity and logic. No teen/elder career path yet, but coming later. In the meantime, if you start your teen in either politics or business you will be off to a good start.
Obviously I am looking for any glaring errors or omissions, but I would especially like some feedback on how daily needs are affected through the course of the career. Setting those was a matter of pure guesswork. Also, any suggestions on clothing assignments changes would be appreciated. I promise you'll enjoy this one especially if you stick with it long enough to get to the top! Stern and Imus, watch out!
As usual, deposit the .package file into your download directory and just remove it if you want to get rid of this career.
Thanks and enjoy! :howdy:
