Maggies Guest House (apartment)

In the 19th century a single woman or man usually stayed with their family until they got married. If they should want to move, it would probably be to a guest house like this, a small house with long term tenants. In the 21st century it is common for young people to share a house or a flat, much in the same manner.

Your sim will have his or her own room, and will share the house with two other tenants (NPCs). The house has a practical and cozy kitchen, a living room with fireplace, not to mention a pleasant garden. You can't make changes in the common areas (unless you use a cheat), but the garden is for everybody, and you are free to grow your own plants. For a young person without much money it's an excellent starter and a great way to learn to stand on your own two feet!

Info about this lot
Residential lot - apartment
Lotsize: 20 x 20
Deposit/rent furnished: 3 725 (paid when moving in)
Deposit/rent: unfurnished: 240
Fully furnished and decorated

2 playable floors
Ground floor/common area: Hall, W.C./shower, kitchen, livingroom, personal bedroom
First floor: Hallway and 2 non-accessible bedrooms
The garden also has a privy

Note: This is a Late Night apartment lot and will only work on a regular/normal residential lot, NOT on a lot defined as an apartment lot (as in University Life).

CC used (but not included): Lisen801 Eco Toilet, Severinka Wall Cross , Parsimonius/Kate Very flora
Store items used: Narrow Traditional Gable and Gothic Frigidaire from Midnight Hollow and Advantageous Washstand

EPs/SPs: Late Night is a must, but since I've also used quite a number of items from Supernatural and World Adventure I would say they are important for this lot. Some items are also used from Seasons, Generations, University Life, Pets and Ambitions, but they are not essential, in the sense that the lot would still function without them. It might not LOOK the same though. If you need to make changes in the common area of the lot (everything except the bedroom) you will need to use the RBBB or buydebug cheat.

Lot Size: 20x20
Lot Price: 3725

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

I really like the apartment-within-a-house idea, a lot like real life. Thanks!
