Umi spent a lot of her childhood reading books. Her lack of interests worried her parents, but they convinced themselves into believing Umi would grow up to become a world famous author.

All this changed when Umi and her family went on a vacation in her early teen years. She discovered nature and PLANTS!
During the following years the family garden transformed from being unloved into a lush and inviting garden.

Umi is now a young adult and ready to move into her own home, where hopefully she can fully devote herself to creating her dream garden.

She still reads books, mostly about gardening and exotic plants! Her slight clumsiness is nothing to worry about. Falling over and spilling things never worried her.
