Brief Explanation:
This mod greatly reduces the amount of money you can get from collectibles.

Why this mod exists:
My own personal biggest issue with the sims 4 is that it's far too easy to make money. I like living on the beach and selling shells at a yard sale for my poor off-the-grid family, but they're still rolling in cash from all the shells the toddlers and kids autonomously pick up. Everything in this game that you can sell brings in way too much money for the effort involved in getting it. I decided to make this mod to make it more difficult for my sims to make ends meet. No family should be filthy rich selling seashells by the seashore. Walking into the city and pulling a random trashy poster from a mailbox shouldn't be enough to feed your family for a week. It will also incentivize the use of the yard sale feature to get extra money for your items.

This mod makes the value of every collectible item in the game around 25% of what it originally. The money tree seed, however, has been reduced to 6% because I found that I was making tens of thousands per day from it and that's just wrong. I can make versions with more values in the future, however there are a lot of values and items to edit so for now, I'm sticking with what seems to strike the best balance for playing the game to its fullest without swimming in simoleons. You will be much less likely to get accidentally rich with this mod just because your toddler sim likes to go digging in the sand.

Special Notes:
Some items in-game have variable worth. For instance, Sulani and jungle treasure items can have different values based on their overall quality. Therefore, you might not see an exact 1/4 ratio for these items prices in the game. All items should be worth much less than they originally would, however. Other items have varied prices based on quality (such as harvestables) so make sure you're comparing items of similar quality.

This mod only affects NEW collectibles gathered after its installation. Items that are already in your Sim's inventory or on the lot will retain their original value.

Due to a bug that has cropped up in the last few months, it's possible that if you use one of these items in a lot to upload to the gallery the lot will be flagged as containing custom content. Generally that is not supposed to happen, but it might. If you are trying to upload a lot and it is flagged as containing CC, try removing this mod to see if that solves the problem.
