The basket of seasonal fruit and vegetables and the ears of barley tucked into his turban help identify this young man with Summer.
This painting, realized by the Spanish baroque painter Bartolom? Esteban Murillo between 1640 and 1650, is on display at the Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh, Scotland.
