"Known for its spotless sand and toxic water, SimCity Beach is a favorite for those hot summer days that seem to be every day in The Sims."

Hello, all! This is one of the lots I've made as a part of a recreation series of the Downtown neighborhood in The Sims 1: Hot Date. It is not exactly a literal recreation, but more of a Sims 2 interpretation of the SimCity Beach lot from The Sims 1.

The beach lot contains a pool area complete with a tiki dining area, grill, diving boards, and plastic loungers. Your sims will also be able to dine, drink, and sunbathe to their heart's content... just remember the sunscreen.

Special thanks to Honeywell for the beautiful Bespoke Build Set, Liz for their recolors, and Huge Lunatic for the build items as your creations are vital in my recreation of the Downtown lots.

Made with The Sims 2: Super Collection.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is so nostalgic! In case anyone is interested, I know Crisps&Kerosene did a remake of the Sims 1 beach changing cubicles for Sims 2 here: https://crispsandkerosene.tumblr.co...-tent-which-was

What beach was this made on? Since it will need to be placed down on the same beach

Love this idea to reimagine the old TS1 Downtown lots, and great execution. I always remember those lots so fondly, even though they'd probably feel empty if I went back and looked at them. They were perfect for the type of gameplay that TS1 offered.
