It seems that your save (folder or file) has a "Read Only" attribute, which prevents the program from "replacing" the old file. Right-click on the file or folder, go to properties and make sure the "Read Only" option is unchecked.
If that does not help, try running the tool as administrator.

I keep getting an error about unauthorised acess exception, what am i meant to do to fix it ? thanks you.

Do you have antivirus? This could also be a problem and you need to add the tool to an exception.

My save file was 1GB and I keep getting Error Code 12 + Constant CTDs all the time, but this program has reduced my save file size to 350MB while keeping everything intact! Now I can save normally and get less CTDs! Once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Latest version is really good! However i did find an issue the program will crash if the "worldcaches" folder is not present or deleted when cleaning cache files. Apart from this the latest version is amazing! :D

Thanks, changing the settings to English helped to fix a similar problem!

Hey! I have an issue with the save clleaner. I have both net versions and windows 11. For some reason whenever i open the newest version it throws me a log. The legacy version works perefctly fine.

Is this problem still in the new version of the program? In the new one I made it so that if this happens, it should change the language to English anyway.



A huge request, send the logs at once. I will not be able to use clairvoyance and find out why the program crashes. The sooner I get the logs, the sooner I will release a fix.

I even reinstalled windows to make it work,idk what s wrong,also when i try to upload the log it says unable to detect game type which idk what it means since i dont use modthesims often at all

Rename the log file to txt and post it as a file, or copy the contents of the log and paste it into a message, that's okay too. It is better to put it in the block SPOILER, so as not to clutter the comment

i managed to rename it to .txt hope it works

The bug has not been fixed. I don't understand why it detects an empty language key. Use the workaround for now

I have a question. What is the difference between the 4.6 and 6 .net framework difference other than having to download an external ner framework for 6? Is there some feature difference?

Hi!
The net6 version is considered more productive and stable than net461 and also allows you to run the program in other operating systems (e.g. macOS). If you don't want to download .NET 6, you can download net461 version without losing anything.
And yes, it is a tool and not a mod, as it does not change anything in the game.

J'ai testée les deux version que ce soit la version 3.0.3 net-6 windows ou 1.4.1 ou même la net461 j'ai toujours une erreur qui me dit qu'il y'a aucune sauvegarde . il ne trouve pas mon dossier même en fessant manuellement impossible de nettoyer ma sauvegarde.
J'ai bien installer le net 6.0.400 tout c'est bien passée . j'ai même éteint et rallumer le pc pour prendre tout en compte et j'ai toujours le même soucis !
Que faire svp ? merci de votre aide ! Ps: désolée si je ne parle pas l'anglais .

Regarding the choice of save folder. Are you sure you choose the right folder? I'm asking because the program has to detect it. Make sure in the settings that you have the right path, in your case should be so:

C:\Users\(Username)\Documents\Electronic Arts\Les Sims 3
C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Electronic Arts\Les Sims 3\Saves

If you have something different, change the values in these paths.

Hi! Got it! Use the workaround for now. Download the archive, unzip the settings file and move it to the Settings folder where you installed the program. For some reason the program can't detect the accent color in Windows 10, that's not right.

Hello, using the RegulSaveCleaner-v3.0.3-macOS-net6. I wasn't really sure what I was doing, but my game and MacBook is a 64-bit conversion, not 32.
I open the download folder and drag the 'RegulSaveCleaner' file to the MacOS terminal (no terminal icon for this file) and it says "zsh: permission denied". Is there something im doing wrong?

Please check the permission to run third-party programs in the settings. I haven't found a better way to run the program without changing this setting yet, so I have to do this.

Made a fix for the currently-faulty Chinese translation. However there are some improvements that cannot be made on my side:

• Change the language name from "中国人" to "中文"
• Segoe UI does not contain Chinese glyphs, so UI text looks horrible by default. It may be possible to improve this by automatically assign "Microsoft Yahei UI" as the default font for Chinese Windows users, and "Pingfang SC" for macOS users.
• Cache type localization templates may need to be improved. For instance:
  • Localization strings logic can ONLY do: [all] (type) [files] [from folder] (foldername)
  • Typical Chinese logic: (foldername) [folder, in which] [all] (type) [files]
  • Current implementation is readable but very strange, though not that important to fix (as that may mean lots of work to do).
